Geek Korea: TARDIS in Gwanghamun today; Robo Taekwon’s Google Doodle

After a successful landing on Tuesday near Seoul’s Cheonggye Plaza, the TARDIS spaceship from hit BBC sci-fi Doctor Who 닥터후 will land today Thursday at Gwanghwamun Square (시민 열린마당), hanging around the vicinity from 12pm to 8. Most creative pics taken of the prop will have a chance of winning tickets to an August screening at the 63 Building of Doctor Who’s new season premiere Deep Breath, as attended by producer and Sherlock 셜록 creator Steven Moffat, along with new Doctor Peter Capaldi and companion Jenna Coleman (ala Clara Oswald).

Tag pics with  and  for a chance to win, and check the official Doctor Who twitter to know the TARDIS’ final few locations before it leaves Korea on Sunday July 27th for its next step on the Doctor Who world tour.


Check Google Korea for a Google Doodle in honour of the 38th birthday of Robo Taekwon V 로보트 태권브이. The animated movie was released on this day, and launched a successful anime franchise based around the super robot and taekwondo hero.
