Want Subtitled Movies? Spend Chuseok at Chewsock

Outside of torrents and DVDs, it’s surprisingly rare to find big Korean films & indie flicks with subs in Seoul. To remedy the problem – and the other one of Seoul turning into a ghost city during the Chuseok holidays – the very helpful All in Korean: with English Subs Please (AKESP) will be hosting the two day Chewsock Film Festival from September 18th – 19th at ArtNine cinema house, near exit 7 of Isu station. Tickets will be available soon on Cine in Korea, but you can try buying tickets on the day at ArtNine too. Check out the schedule and a way to donate to proceedings via Funding21. I’m really looking forward to seeing How to Use Guys with Secret Tips, Barbie, Super Virgin, The Berlin File and The Weight.
