Seen this striking poster around a few Seoul stations. Info below via 건강한 웃음 푸른 희망 – 스포츠월드 –
Based on the Haruki Murakami novel of the same name, Kafka on the Shore will open in Korea for the first time this year. You can see this play at Dong Sung Hall, Dong Sung Art Center from May 4 to June 16.
I love this book and love this author. I would LOVE to see this play in English!!!
do I know you by any chance? 🙂
Didn’t realise there was a play version! It’s fully in Korean then?
Hi Nina 🙂
Yep, it’s 100% Korean
Are you sure it’s in Korean??? It’s done by an American screen writer, premiered in Chicago and even had a run in Japan.
Now you’ve got me wondering…it seems strange they’d put it on in English without advertising in English as well – I’ve only seen Korean ads around. The posters doesn’t seem to mention it’s in English (perhaps they’re trying not to scare away the Korean audience?!) I’ve checked here as well
